| Two Hempstead football players were voted to all-state teams this year. Brock Haas was a 4A 1st Team Des Moines Register All-State linebacker and a 3rd Team INA All-State player. Matt Ehlers was a 3rd Team INA All-State defensive back. Both also were named to the All-Area 1st Team published by the Dubuque Telegraph Herald. |

| Hempstead placed 13 players on the prestigious Mississippi Valley All Conference Teams. |

| It was a tremendous year for the Mustangs. Picked by most to win possibly 4 or 5 games, the team responded by grabbing 8 wins in the toughest conference in Iowa. This team believed in themselves and it showed on the field! |
